Wednesday, August 12, is our first 1-Hour Early Out Wednesday of the school year. All CFSD schools will dismiss one hour early to allow our educators additional time for collaboration and training. For more information, please see the
2026-27 Calendar & Calendar Overview on the CFSD website.
The first bell rings at 7:55 AM, and dismissal is at 3:25 PM. Please help your child arrive on time and ready to learn.
Honor Choir auditions are this week (August 10-14)! Honor Choir information and audition letters were sent home in students' Thursday folders on August 6. Students who wish to audition should return the bottom portion of the letter to school as soon as possible. We can't wait to hear you sing! Join us for another exciting year of music!
Looking ahead, Honor Choir's first rehearsal will be on Tuesday, August 18, from 3:15-4:00 PM. They'll rehearse every Tuesday at the same time.
Wear your House Colors every Wednesday!
Dress Code Expectations: As we continue settling into the new school year, please remember these important dress code expectations:
- Shoes must be worn at all times. For student safety, particularly on the playground, open-toed or backless shoes—including flip-flops, slides, and sandals—as well as high-heeled boots and house shoes are not permitted.
- Shorts, skirts, and dresses must be appropriate in length and may not be more than the width of a dollar bill above the knee.
- Leggings are permitted only when the student’s shirt fully covers the bottom.
- Clothing that exposes the back, shoulders, chest, or midriff is not permitted.
- Pajamas and loungewear are not permitted except on designated spirit days.
Water Bottle Expectations: Students are welcome to bring water bottles to school, and we appreciate your help in making sure they follow these guidelines:
-
Please send a clear, reusable water bottle. Glass bottles are not permitted as a safety precaution.
- Water bottles should be a manageable size that fits easily in a backpack or on a desk.
-
Please label the bottle with your student’s name.
-
Water bottles should contain water only. Flavored or sugary drinks are not permitted.
- Students should use water bottles appropriately during class and be careful to prevent spills.
- Please wash reusable bottles regularly.
Our goal is to make sure students have access to water while keeping classrooms safe, clean, and focused on learning. Students who have difficulty following these expectations will receive reminders and opportunities to correct the issue. Continued misuse may result in the student using the water fountain instead of bringing a bottle to class.
Transportation updates must be submitted by 2:00 PM each day. Please send a note with your child or email Ms. Alana Davis at adavis@cfcards.net with transportation changes.
Thank you, Ivory families, for partnering with us to make sure our students understand Ivory Intermediate's school expectations and are ready to learn and participate in all activities!
